Better water in
the house of the poor
than wine in
the house of a thief
Better to share your dreams
with the heart of a fool
than to trust them
to him who has no belief
Better to give your bread liberally
to the hungry hordes
than to cast your seed
over thorns
Better to bind up the wounds
of a frightened animal
than to challenge
the bull who has horns
Good to live wise
Better to rest in peace
