...These have been in the pipeline a while now; just kicking them out and clearing the decks before I start serious study next week. PERSONAL TRAINER
He exercises me
Puts me through my paces
Commands my thoughts
My approach
My Coach
Training my mind
Testing my fitness:
He places his hand
on my heart -
I make no excuse
He's my Muse
Spurring me on,
he encourages me forward
Helps me up if I fall:
whether on face or ass -
He laughs!
Sometimes I fly too high,
get my fingers and wings burned,
invisible stairways crumbling
as I attempt to climb
inside his head...
Or I plunge too deep,
hitting rock bottom,
drowning in the bile
of my own stomach's pit
and suffocated by the vapours
But still I would jump
through hoops for him
Be the best for him
Give it my all for him
For he knows I am but his
physical energy
harnessed
and attuned to his mind
This makes me think

A depthy tribute to the Mind and its Muse, Kate. It's true, humans imitate, all art is imitation of humanity and its actions. I felt that strongly with this piece.
