As if trying to take its shape,
my mind wraps itself around
the delicate figure of an image on a page.
As if trying to kiss its form,
my emotion engages with the sensual beauty
of a thought that is linguistically expressed.
As if trying to learn their dance,
my heart moves to the music
of your words playing in my soul.
Your poetry is the precious pyre
from which this Phoenix arises.
