SKIN

Breathe through
your beautiful skin:

Choose to touch
Yearn to feel
Hope to sense
Long to heal

Skin to skin
Kith to kin
Honest naked
is where life begins

No-one else
can breathe it for you,
though many
may want to try;

They are the ones
who know what
skin is worth:

Live and love through
your beautiful skin

Kate, even sitting here feeling sick as a dog this poem managed to reach through my flu clouded brain and send a tranquil message to my soul. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Kate,

Wonderful missive. SKin is a shell, it keeps all that we hold dear within, and all that we eschew out and wears our memories like tattoos.

We must suck up the essence of life in every way we possibly can so that we don't miss a thing. This is really a cool poem, Kate. Think I am gonna save this one.
Take care,
Sherry
