OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooh, God, how I, too, love the sea, Kate. Your recurring homophone, see/sea is enchanting and very effective. You gave her a persona, yet left her the mystery that defines her for we humans. I have written of her, too, and I wonder: were you rapt and drawn inward when you wrote? This is how it reads and it is a piece of beauty, indeed. katy xox

Oh, Kate, this is beyond beautiful! You had me standing in calf-high water feeling the pull of the waves returning to the sea against my flesh and the undertow causing my toes to dig deeper into the sand so as not to follow their lead. So much of my youth was spent at the shore, you set those memories on a high burner with your graceful verses. Amazing work!!

Lol, thats why I don't swim, Kate. Despite the beautiful waters we have in Tanzania. Afraid of being sucked, pulled in with dextrous tongue and fingers; taken down and carried you away. Lol.

Perpetual motion. All brits are born with sea water in their bones.
Great poem Kaptain Kate, some days I feel the urge just to go see the sea. A blessing to be on such a beautiful islands as these.
Makes me think of, my name sakes, sea scape paintings.

Now to this one after spending so many years...on, around, next to and in the sea I can well relate and your descriptions are so pleasing to my ear. Even now after all these years I still crave to be on the sea, whether it be a sailboat, icebreaker, destroyer or even a ferry I love the notion of the motion. Thanks for bringing back the memories sweet Kate.
