Said the Model to the Artist...!! These trips to London are certainly inspirational!

THE MODEL SPEAKS

Men are often colour blind
of greys, blues, blacks and browns.

But you paint me happy -
a finger artist with sensory skill.

What colour is my rhythm?
Which hue my internal rhyme?

Where is my sunshine yellow
and am I a little green?

Adding tonal quality
when my mood is blue,
you experiment with new technique
if my desire is red.

And so you paint me rainbow,
my body your fresh palette,
the brush your dextrous fingers
which sensitively read
the pulse of my thoughts
through tender Braille of my skin.

"...read the pulse of my thoughts through the tender Braille of my skin." Arn't men's hands beautiful? Even more beautiful when the man can stroke his women's desires and intuit her emotions. Fantastic write!

Dearest Kate,
It was time for a poetic binge after yet another period of absence. After this poem I'm not sure that I can read anything else though. This is the kind of sensual experience that one wants to linger. A poetic gourmet meal which as made me feel quite satisfied. You express in vivid colour the desires of a woman. I cannot thank you enough for your creative inspiration.
With love... Chanti

there is something utterly engaging about this poem, Kate. in all honesty, I've no idea what it is, but here's the experience. you are a train engineer calling, "All Aboard" and then we're off on a sweet ride through winding countryside. but before we catch our breath from the oohs and aahs of what you're showing us, we pick up speed and head through a tunnel, alive with surreal imaginings bouncing off the walls of your words. and then, bam, light again - and not just any light - brilliant, but all at once gentle, light that leaves us warmed with the tingle of your words and the sensational ride like a train's deep-throated whistle calling us to get on board all over again. ok, I feel better. thanks for letting me share my memories. Dawn

"through tender Braille of my skin."

K-K-K-Kate, me mate! My head, my fingers literally stutter sometimes, wanting to give you, show you my thoughts about your poems. Metaphors, imagery, imagination that darts here, then there, then (once cloned) soars in bunches! I know what braille is... I know what skin is (sure, yeah... behave!)

When I click to you, I come prepared: clear the mind, settle in, be quiet and "listen" ... then I read... and read again. Tutorial is a dry word, but damn, I learn from you. It's about the metaphors... it's about the message. It's about the poet, a grand duchess with a pen. love, k-k-k-katy xox (the stuttering persists).

Now this is some serious writing my sweet Kate and even if you were blue your skill and talent shine through here. I would love to be the artist that had you for a canvas, it would be hard not to create a work of art.
