Hey, people! SMILE!! This is a repost, and a genuine reflection of how I'm feeling at the moment, notwithstanding my current, but, I believe, totally resolvable health issues. Thank you so very, very much for the huge amounts of love, support and prayer which I know for certain sure are coming my way, whether you know what I'm drivelling on about or not...!! All will be revealed in due course, cos, you know me, just can't keep it in. Just gettin me puff back, then guess it will be "business as usual" just asap...
Neah... Whassup, Doc?! :))

BEAUTIFUL SMILE
We may be
damaged people,
but we still have
Beautiful Smiles;
not testament
of where we have been,
or vain symbol of
triumphal victory,
but a sign
of the vision
of where it is
we are headed,
and of the Spirit
that will take us there.
The sign is shared,
person to person,
and many who
pursue its path
know of its
meaning.
It imparts
a knowledge of
inner peace,
reconciliation,
resolution -
and, above all,
a future hope:
like sunshine
through the rain,
this human rainbow,
fragmented
and reflected
through
the multitudes,
Oh Kate, I do pray for you. This is a beautiful poem that many may not understand. When you know that you know that you know and pray to God that others will get it.
"We may be
damaged people,
but we still have
Beautiful Smiles;" < < I love that opening. It set the mood well, and it got better from there. Keep smiling; you look good.
Hi Sweet KATE
Glad to see all went well with you and your hospital visit. This poem of yours is right on the mark and from seeing all the pictures I have of you your smile is one of warmth that is quite infectious that shines through even in your written work. I may not be on line much longer but I will treasure your poetry and reviews always.
Big hug,
I applaud your beautiful smile and I smile with you;-) You wear courage faith and hope as the brilliant jewels they are, and I'm uplifted by your splendid poem and the attitude it was written with!
Love,
Eileen

And the refraction is the most stunning thing of all.
Much truth, wisdom and impenetrable faith shown here.
Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
My continued thoughts and prayers are with you.
