I have another "excuse" for a repost tonight: Andy, I thought you might like this one, somehow. Whatever... many blessings on your birthday and the awesome power of God in your life in coming days. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABE! LOL Konvent Kate xx

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL

Like spent stardust,
I cast my desiccated thoughts
into the yawning infinity
of a spectacular night sky,
glorious and velvet...

Where are you, God?
I long to touch your face.

Every sequined star
is a pin-hole through which -
if I could only look close enough -
I might see your awesome countenance;

then I would have answers...

Tears of love and sweet nails of pain
spatter the souls
of those you have touched -
like charismata, like moondust.
These, your fingerprints,
bear witness to your presence,
silent and profound.

Teach me with your smile
that is as clear as this starry night;
Anoint me with the sacred oils
that stream from those
who bear your mark.

Reach me with your touch
cascading from their hands.
Impart to me wisdom that flows
from their flaming souls.

For universal love exists
away up in the firmaments,
whilst divinity connects
and inspires us here,
deep in the core
of our being.

I am definitely feeling this...beautifully done. I love the imagery...and I could almost hear my English aunt say...you love people and you like inanimate things...lol..oh well, I haven't learned anything I suppose. The title is appropiate. Keep writing, I'll be back regularly to read what you have to offer. Good luck.

Gee, Kate, I wish I could come up with some words worthy of this gorgeous and most amazing write, but if I could you might think that I was overstating or trying to flatter. so let me just say that this poem really blew my hair back! A keeper for certain.
Take care,
