I said that I would, so I did! :)) Thankyou, Aberjhani, and I hope you don't mind... BTW, this is his review of JF's Day Light poem yesterday. K xx

AWAITING THE DAWN

Aberjhani:
“A far more beautiful way of noting the dawning of a realization of self.
Like watching the sun rise magically through someone’s skin.”

Awaiting the dawn, I lie here at peace,
clothed in your shadow, my head resting
lightly on one bent arm;
day is breaking, a pink flush tingeing
the lily pallor of your lips.

Night hours spent distantly charging,
searching the light on the dark side of the moon;
but your path now returns within my orbit,
pulled by the gravity of my warm gaze.

Our bed is autumnally scented
of ploughed earth and broken fruit.
A ruddy bloom begins to rise
within smooth muscle of your flesh;
bone and tendons remaining slack
until first rush of morning blood.

Darkness slowly lifts
from deep contours of your landscape;
life’s energy laps afresh round
major promontories of your coastline;
tides of consciousness return
to vast reaches of your mind.

When you open your eyes
twin suns will blaze
and I will be your broad horizon
awakened to a brand new day.

How could any poet possibly “mind” knowing that something in his or her words helped to inspire a poem as enthralling as this one? If anything, I am happily dazzled by the exceptional bolt of creative lightning that apparently first struck Jude Forese’s pen, then zigged down here to Savannah to touch my own before zagging all the way across the Atlantic to bless your pen with these fantastic lines. The only thing I’m curious about now is where that amazing whacky bolt of creative lightning is likely to strike next. Much love, peace, and many blessings to you always—

You amaze me (I've told you before) the way you take a person's poem and see into it as if you had X-Ray vision. You make everyone feel so good about their work through your comments. I'm not especially good at that. But I do know that this is a brilliant poem and I think you are a dear person. XXXXOOOO Janet
