A fine balance of precise imagery and implied knowing. The symbolism of/for strong endurance and the wise surrender to the inevitability of change go well together. But then You wrote this, so they would wouldn't they:-)Enjoyed it tremendously.

Life has both the ephemeral and everlasting elements. To cherish, live and relive them needs an eye for details, pen for suffocating heights and a will to look beyond. A very thought provoking poem. I wonder why you used emdash and colon for similar purpose!
rolling stones... there's something so alive and liberating here. the movement, the breaking out of a locked box and being propelled naturally toward what is to be, is something phenomenal. you've made me want to FEEL it in my own life! "Parameters" is a great poem, Kate. thanks for this one, Dawn

Some things just are what they are even though change is inevitable. It is interesting that you used rocks in this piece instead of say... something flexible like willow. You have picked something that is inflexible to remind us that even the most unyielding of situations, eventually change. There is a lot of hope for rebirth in this wonderful poem, Kate. I hope you are doing well. I still keep you in my prayers.

The insight in your poem is splendid! When that which was contained in a set pattern is torn down, there can be new hope for its future, having no set design in mind is wonderfully freeing...
Superb imagery Kate, kind of reminds me of when I was a Ranger with the Countryside Unit. Where I learnt the art of Dry-stone-walling and Hedge-laying amongst other things. Looks like I'd end up rebuilding this particular wall Lol(force of habit)...I wouldn't dare. Art this good deserves to be left for all to see.
It seems as the wall is down but the stones have designs of their own. Your use of alliteration is super. Good work, though I know to expect it from you. :-)
This a wonderful image of freedom that will always comes with time, as all walls are mastered by the mason so is gravity able with time and nature able to dismnatle and erode the mortar that kept it trapped in place. This can compare with the reality of life so well my sweet Kate and you always leave us thinking and pondering with your words and images created in our minds.
