A poem wot I wrote at Christmas and never posted, but which I realised I was lifting lines from when I wrote Today's Magic. Come to think of it, it actually dovetails also with Breach... Be well, People. xx

SEA CHANGE

She turned her back
on the tenderly immovable,
on the yawning complacency
of the never-ending
unchanging.

She held his face
in the hands of her heart
and watered it with tears,

tears that ascended into
vaporous plumes,
a fountain forming
an open crest that
threw back her head
with ringing laughter:

the savage hysteria of
perpetuum mobile.

Madness seems to be a trait we poets love to assume, why not it's so much easier than facing truth;-) A deep dark poem Kate, I sense a real struggle, and I caution you to truly examine it before you take any hasty actions. Just a feeling I have...If i'm wrong , sorry!

Love,
Eileen

I find this so visual

She held his face
in the hands of her heart
and watered it with tears,

Salt of the sea, salt of tears, will all that salt perserve such a heart till time sets it free? Washing in a madenss of baptism.....towards a new life.......

You sea witch you lol

work your magic!~

Dove tail they do, perfectly Kate, insanity is genius, blessed are those taken by the moon or by a laughter that resembles a mobile ringtone. LOl Sorry! I'm a fool. This is beautiful genius at it's best Kate.

Can You See Me

As you walk your shoreline...
Can you see me?
In the depth of the ocean
I am down at the bottom
Where shells dance and bump
As you walk your shoreline
Can you hear me?
I am restless…
And always ready to change
They call me EB & FLOW
Can you feel me?
I am the sand under your feet
The wetness of the sand…
Are… those tears…
That rolled down my face
Know…
Each time you walk a shoreline
There will be another storm…
Deep within me… I rumble
Each silver sunray on the horizon
Another blessed kiss send your way!!

perhaps the madness that constantly moves one to cry can also allow one to laugh it away ... perhaps then it transforms into saving madness ....

Kate,

I love the imagery you use: such brilliance in succinct poetry! Thank you, dear (((friend))), you've blessed us with the gift of words; it is an honor to read poetry, especially when it is yours.

Oh sweet Kate this is so touching the meaning is not lost on romantics such as myself, the tears of the heart as you called them are the most painful thing in this world and complacency for love would have to come in a close second. I hope this is pure fiction on your part for I would hate to see my sweet Kate in so much sadness.

Pops

This is a very fluid write and flows affectively. I'll go back and read the "arms" of this write.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
