That Which Is Forbidden

I think this is what is called "automatic writing", in the sense that I woke up with it flowing out of my head in one long stream at 0600 this morning... It is not personal or subjective, but, having just read Sage's Dancing The Medicine Wheel For The Sage Grouse, I have no idea how or why, but I think at some unconscious level that I can't quite understand, it connects somehow with part of the message of that. Anyways... see what you think... LOL K xx

Back to the sea tomorrow... Yey!!

THAT WHICH IS FORBIDDEN

You can’t hold me with your hands
or buy me with your pieces of finest silver;

can’t tame me with your rod of iron
or bend my spirit, nailing my moods
up against your fence.

My peaks and troughs are beyond
your ability to fathom
and my dizzy heights too steep
for your ascent.

But my loveliness can be measured
by the impact of my gaze
and my knowing’s worth a thousand lifetimes.

Your time is more precious
than all the wonders of the world
and your energy on me is well-spent.

I am woman and in me
all life resides,
fruit of my womb and product
of my ability to know, to decide,
to bite, to taste and
to see that it is good.

"I am woman and in me
all life resides," (did you miss an article "a" before "woman"?)

I liked this, shows a bold and emerging voice. More power to your pen!

It's that feminine thingy again, the all powerful Goddess that resides within. Here she speaks in volumes loud and clear (not in the T.O.T.M way either lol), nice one Miss MoneyPenny. (did you get your Milk Tray?) Oh! that's the other bloke. I do like this lots.

Paul;-) aka that spy bloke

This is pure truth from the heart with flavouring from the soul on the way by. Sweet Kate this is not or at least I don't believe it is about gender so much as it is about individualism and you have captured the spirit of that so well. Sweeeeeet write, from a sweet lady.

I get those same voices in my head at times, and they will not quiet until I write them down..........I once tried to go for 6 weeks without writing, and the same poem kept replying in my mind...till I wrote it.

I wonder if all creative types are like that

Kate, Who is all woman, you don't need confirmation of the message you've handed us. But, my admiration is boundless. Your words are the perfect, "Instant Spech," before any group where male/female, or female/male issues are being discussed. It's a classic ln brevity!

Your Humble Male Servant, - Bill
