RISING

Climb steps of illumined darkness
Inhale breaths of purest light

Ascend heights of clearest vision
Stand naked cleansed in night

Entwine interlacing fingers –
they’re the whispered words of prayer

Beyond castle crags of eagles
or close-pressed in palms –
You’re there

The tiny miracles of life
The global mysteries of fame:

The totality of existence
is embodied by Your Name

You should put music to this. It's like a song, a prayer. Words seem to dance around you and then fall into perfect places. This is wonderful, Kate.

RISING: precisely the inner sensation that came with reading each of these lines, a sense of stepping up in consciousness to a realization of one's gerater self reflected in an even more encompassing Self that contains all greatness in the singularity of an abiding presence and syllable. A poem with a totally splendid view.

Quick and perky and . . . revealing is this poem of the Id of ourselves, knowing that we are the world, it revolves around us.

What's in a name...an awful lot..
Our name embodies our spirit in an all compassing way..
When you stare into the face of eternity,... you are staring into the face of Infinite Intelligence..

Names play a huge part in marketing, presidents, stars etc. It's a fact in sales that the "right name" gets you in the door. My middle name is Kathryn and it has a bit of magic with it mainly because it's a "family" name handed down in the female line of my mother's side. Kate, Kathryn or Catherine...it's a wondrous name for me and much love comes with this name...from experience. This pen is different for a pen and much appreciated.

VEry awesome write and I am sure the words whispered to the creator in your voice will be heard loud and clear. The poets dream of the skies and the stars and the magic of what is out there and the beauty of the promise life hereafter and she does it with style, poise and grace. Ah Sweet Kate sometimes your heart is so spiritual I think you may be part angel, (I won't suggest what they other part is, lol)Anyway very good write with nice images floating to the heavens and a good message to reinforce the here after.

If my name was Agnus Muckafoos would you still think the same?

Really though KB ... This construct was like opening a window in a stuffy room. A refreshing breeze indeed!
