Doubtless, things are going on in the heavenlies right now... K xx

THOUGHTS WHILE FALLING

Just the membrane of a dream
separates; not time or distance
but only translucent shadows turning,
falling leaf-like through the mind.

We have seen heavens opened,
been baptised in oceans of sky
and branded by the burning finger of god.

Our twin lights merge, are intensified.

Now, blown into tempest’s shoaling,
melted and dripping in metal and flame
fluid faith’s mirror-skin erupts,
pierced by shards like spit from stars
burning in deep space.

All is slippery, wet
with smoke-filled darkness
as sons are born into heavier water.

I have to agree that there is something in the air at the moment, some kind of vise-grip pressure that is changing our world. Powerful and thought provoking this poem is nothing short of excellent, Kate. I love this line:
"pierced by shards like spit from stars" What an amazing visual.
Take care,

Another fascinating poem, Kate - and I truly believe that much is going on in the heavenlies right now.

ah, Kryptic Kate ... seems the heavier water of life flows into focus as the as the flaming hand of creation merges the light of duality into the oneness of deep space ... in other words, i like!

I love the way you blend colour and light in this rousing and thought provoking write. Sweet Kate this has so much more to say and so much I am not certain about but I will save and reread as the urge to look deeper into your soul strikes. Great job Sweet Kate.

In depth of dreams the soul sinks and flails. The mystery is betwixt the falling and the rejuevenation of spirit.
I like a deeper vision with the more brilliant poets... as yourself.

But you is spot on, Turner... I wrote this two weeks' ago and decided to let it hang... I've been re-reading it myself and wondering what folks would get out of it. I LIKE the hybrid-take you have.... If I tell you I wrote it during fever on the day that the fresh air-bombings were rumbled, that would just spoil the mystery... K xx

Maybe cos it's late, been reading this for the last quater of an hour.

The only way to be branded, a bit like a cross between Sexton and Dante, with a sprinkling of Lewis..

Maybe in eight hours I'll think.."ooo why did I say that?"
Yet the symbolisim is great. Worse thing about being the first to read it, I feel clueless..

Facilitates the journey of winners and losers, as in the first Psalm, "the blessed man is like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bringing forth fruit every season. Its leaf never withers and everything he touches seems to prosper."

Negative thinker cynics are swift to brand persons as "phonies." Negative-thinking cynics have an enormous inclination to suspect the authenticity of what appears to be good and honest. If one keeps enthusiasm with positive thoughts, they will be amazed at the alchemy of melted steel transformation, cast solid to the core thoughts while falling, following this, you live on the bayou, the bayou connects to the stream, the stream is connected to the river, the river flows to the gulf, the gulf flows into the ocean, the ocean touches the shores of the countries of the world, you can go anywhere from where you are, Kate...

There is a lot going on between the lines of this deeply spiritual write, that is top heavy with symbolism and allegory..

What a brilliant, incisive and faith filled mind you have

Thoroughly enjoyed the metaphysical ramifications and implications of this enigmatic and paradox of a write..
