Havin two lives is exhaustin... still, can't complain :)) Sorry to be so slow to read but another day tomorrow... and the next! LOL K xx

TRICK OF THE EYE

Weather paints me.

I am an illusion of light,

dappled dot of pigment
running with a southerly breeze,

merging into heather
and fading into sand;

invisible in space
and time

were it not for the
eye of the artist

who paints me

naked and with wings,

seeing me as a livid dash
of eye-catching water,

skin the colour of wind,

body outstretched and brushed
across a canvas of sable sky

Kate, split personalities in a diploid existance at present?...or is this actually a third persona...that wisp of you that dances under the sun and swings in the breeze, an angelic sprite free of the confines of humanity...with you master's pen, dear Kate, you can be anything you want to be.

Exceptional verses of poetry that read as if I were admiring and pondering upon a painting. Thank you for sharing this gift, Kate. Love and peace to you,

Beautiful Kate! A self-portrait, perhaps? Painting from inside out?
At any rate, a lovely poem.

Kate

Your social and aesthetical ambivalences may be pulling you hither and thither, but your artistic brushstrokes are still in pristine mode..

You are a master at embellishing and enamoring your excellent labours..

God Bless
