I buff your brazen feet with my hair
until my face in them shines;

smooth the seam of your calves
with the flat of my palms

and align the curves of your thigh
with the back of my hands.

I curtain the cup of your loin
with lantern husk of my hips,
girdle your waist with my arms

and diamond dot your navel
with the tip of my tongue.

Softly, my breath sequins
the velvet cushion of your chest,
as I pierce your ear with the pearl
of my sigh.

Your head I crown with garland kisses
rained against your temples.

Let others call you “naked”, my Prince,
for we know you are stocking’d
in silken meshes of my love.
