Thank you, People, for all the moments of life and time that we've shared together over the past 365 days. I soooo look forward to your company on the onward and upward path of the next episode of the journey. A toast to each and every one of you and may you all, in your manifold ways, enjoy the celebration of the cusp of the year today. While we breathe we believe... and walk towards it. Chin-chin! :)) LOL K xx

TIME’S FAREWELL

Today, when I am gone, you will
smell me in the rain,
hear me in the scuddy of clouds
and see me in the shift of shadows
falling on your face.

You will taste me in the sun,
feel me in the sharpness of
the lining of your memories

and touch me in the advent
of every light-streaked dawn.

Make no sorry appeal
and do not seek
to stop me
as tonight I take my leave;

For I am never yesterday
but, as tomorrow, I am always
with you.

Your words offer the aroma of classic poetry--beautiful, lyrical phrasing with soulful spirit. These are lines to commit to memory and to keep sacred in the heart.

Thank you for sharing these moving, meaningful emotions.
A truly lovely poem, Kate.

Kate, KATE!! How utterly profound and prophetic.
Wow - what a short yet beautiful and very 'quoteable' poem.
This reminds me so much of the classic poets.

And, YES, I miss your reviews as well! Happy New Year! -- Jeff

Oh Kate,

"For I am never yesterday
but, as tomorrow, I am always
with you."

Them's fightin' words I'll not forget. I was sitting in the parking lot at the grocery story just the other day, plesantly detained by an unexpected but incredibly welcomed cell phone call. As I sat and talked I think, in retrospect, I experienced your words...the sky was full of simile and metaphor that afternoon and it blended so well with my conversation and the words of yours I read today. Don't worry dear, I took notes to add to others I've been collecting because metaphors amd memories make "tomorrow's" poetry. Would that one day mine could meeet the depth of meaning in yours. "Oh the places you take me..." Kate. Never stop. I'm along for the ride of a lifetime.

Brightest New Year wishes to you, my sweet friend,
xo Taylor

Dear Lovely Lady of England - No one need try to top this offering of goodbye to the old year, and, "Let's Dance," to the new upstart, 2007 ! ! !

Your word would be applicable to any parting, and I am so aware that they would, indeed, fit the ongoing funerals and tributes of an American President, Gerald Rudolph Ford. He wasn't a simple man, but a man of simplicity in dealing with politicians and citizens.
Thank you, Prolific Poet, for all the good and great words you strung together during '06. Readers of the future will choose them as, "Brilliant!"

Friend and Admirer, - Bill
