"He is her wetness and she his parched drought
and they do not know they’re not one
and the same." now this is poetry! I liked the ending part, and all the evocative images.

Ahhhh...Ohhhh...marvelous! All of it. Yet I was most impressed
with your comparing the solidity of cliffs to a permanent union of
humans. Lady...these images are fabulous...absolutley top drawer!!!
Mmmm, so soft and romantic, Kate -- you have such a delicate style that's nice to read.

Dear Kate,
I've always adored the duet performed by sand and sea. It's really a constant give and take, isn't it? For me, that's what unconditional love is all about.
A fog must be coming in - my glasses just steamed over. Do you eavesdrop from the window or the porch KB? Perhaps as you squish your toes into the line that seperates the two elements?
If we looked closely at what is around us we would find some kind of natural symbiosis in everything. It seems that your new digs have taken you to new heights of insight as a writer.
"Sand has always said yes to the sea" and I say yes to this stunning write. Seems you have also melted our dear Alexandra.
Me monitor melted........o, this is GLORIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! One of your BEST, a keeper, indeed! Thank you, thank you, THANK you! The passion you pack into each line.........yes. D e f i n a t e l y a keeper.
Poet of Dorset... I felt strange reading this, for I once stood on the sand and wondered how it tolerated the sea. You've answered all my questions for all time.
I admit it when I run out of words to review a great poem. When this happns, I say, simply, DELICIOUS !
This is... perfection. In my awe, I can't find any other word that sums up the brilliance, depth, and absolute beauty that all my senses (and my sense) absorb from this masterful poem, dear Kate.
In profound reverence,

Ahhh sweet Kate, you know this old salt is always a sucker for romantic writes that take place on the shores of Neptunes playground and this is certainly no exception. There is somthing romantically magic about certain places like...before a fire in a log cabin, aboard a boat gently swaying neath a starry sky, on a roof top of a building looking down on the city lights and yes on the sands of a lovely beach. Great write Kaete.
I felt a voyeuer in this glorious personification of the sand and the sea. Your sea such a masculine creature and the sand so delicate, innocent and willing to the meld. How stunningly powerful and utterly sexy the romance of nature. You, Kate, were meant to eavesdrop and capture this love affair in words.
Love,
Taylor
The ebb and flow of this inviting write where the waves make love and the sand is covered by the wetness of its love. Love this type of write.

Glorious my Great X5 Grandmother was English and lived near the Sea She married a Captian and so I have always heard stories of old of the love for the seas and how they landscape and sea blend as one. You captured a beautiful scenic poem full of so much depth.

How romantic this poem is in its metaphor, Kate. The sea belongs to the shore as the shore belongs to the sea. Without one, the other would not exist. So it is with the one who is the keeper of our heart; we are seamless in our unity. Such a beautiful poem, Kate!
Take care,
Sherry
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
last verse. Superb! ;)
