Aha! A half-tale for Valentine's Day of the tragic romance behind a Great British Icon... Beaulieu Motor Museum is but a hop and a skip from my new home by the sea... Lucky Me! :)) K xx

THE WHISPER AND THE SPIRIT

The Silver Ghost:
Eleanor, the Spirit behind Ecstasy,
the secret Whisper.

She was inspired by his face –
the sea in a crowd of faces,
his mind – tantalising stars,
gilded footnotes illuminating
esoteric scripts.

His touch sent fire,
winter fingers xylophoning
down each knuckle of her spine;
his gaze the spear of searing heat
tumbling her butt-down with ice-rink burn.

His voice the burning thread
taken deep inside, his vowels
coating the bowels of her earth,
sword of light parting her
skin from bone,
flesh from spirit.

His the greasy pole she slid down,
taut and slow, sleek and deep,
slivered lava-love erupting,
hardening her sequined lissom figure
into sculpted arabesque,
the figurehead to his gleaming prow.

Pressing her leafy, trembling fingers
to his quivering fruit lips
they swayed in canopied tree-top winds
dressed only in passion's wings:
“Hush, not a word”, she said, “of this
our Rolls Royce affair”.

superb sensuality immersed in double entendre ... a sublime mixture of passionate esoterica and elegant erotica riding through this poem, shining with magic as it hydroplanes across our sweaty brows ...

I'll NOT join those naughty boys, below.
Instead, let me confess that after I read such tantalizing lines as -
"winter fingers xylophoning
down each knuckle of her spine -"
I began blushing so intensely, I lost me place and everything went hot.

Perhaps another reading outside, in our 20F degrees or less temps,
I will be able to finished the torrid thing!

Mmmmmmm - a Rolls in the hay for Valentine's....mmmmmmmmm

Ouch touch this one with bare skin and you are going to get burned.Sweet Kate this is absolutely sensually stunning with the images of lust and love providing a passionate pre Valentime poem of classic proportion. I love it and love how you managed to capture not only the thrill of passion but the pasiion of the Rolls Royce legend lady.

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
