YEY!!! I've got my head back! ... Well... kind of... :)) K xx

... And thank you, People, for all your "get better" love and good wishes... I am pleased to report that 10-yr old Willow is making a darn sight quicker recovery from her nasty venomous attack than I am from this wretched dose of "summer" flu! xx

THE ECHOES OF A BEAUTIFUL STRENGTH

There’s a place where fresh green blades pierce
Alpine snows and mountain peaks are trembling;

Where the only thing stirring in the midst
of an Arctic wasteland is the flash of a silver fox
seeking prey to feed her young.

A prairie where a night breeze rises
to fondle gently the cactus and where
the first star burns in an icy desert sky.

Or an unmarked spot where melting ice floes
surface within the cracked and bubbling sands.

There is somewhere right here
that breathes the vastness
of table-mountain intimacy,
that brings forth wine from desiccated rock
and yields the feather-tenderness of strength.

But only
If
you come.

But only if
You
come.

But only if you
come,

come,

come,

come.

Come.

Kate, I'm so happy your little one is getting better...I enjoyed the painting you painted in this piece, the images were magnificent and alive. Your voice brings a notion of pondering and a desire to see someone's face. Beautiful!!

Oh the echoes of that gurgling water drawing our spirit to seek its refreshing release from the bondage of trivial needs. Leaving the wilderness of civilization , back to that paradise we call peace.

It does remind me of one or two that you wrote for your masters.
Sublime, refreshing imagery that you take the reader to.

Is it RSPV, and does everyone need a warm coat and bibbly bobbly hat...

From here, I presume that this is your "Final exam entry"-for the Master's course in "Imaging." ... Quite expansive, and a bit gripping in the reading, it's a different love poem in a sea of mediocrity. You write 'em. - I'll read 'em!
