Precious... is not enough to describe what this poem is, dearest Kate. Priceless... would be more adequate, and yet, still not enough. Somehow, this sultry exquisiteness in poetic gem-like form and flow, transports me to... Al-Andalus, in the XIth century, when some of the most beautiful love poetry ever abounded, and streamed, like "glistening beads threaded on rays of liquid light", amidst the orange groves and secluded patios, from Sevilla to Silves. Names like Al-Mutamid and Ibn Ammar drift, along with your name, among the scents of jasmine, mint tea, and ripe figs... and I let my spirit drift, gladly, in this luxuriant atmosphere... that glows through the eras and becomes timeless. This is... "matchless and without flaw". And I'm... in unutterable AWE.
