AERODYNAMICS OF LOVE
For Annalise
Skin to skin is the glistening plumage,
a swift shaft released
from the cradle of loins’ bow:
this the aerodynamics of the fire of love,
that searing burn which is grace
and power spanning two bodies’ wingtips.
Beauty of union soars singing overhead,
two conjoined souls undulating
within their path of flight.
