I am shifting shadow
defined by darkness
veiling the face of the moon;

and silver pool held in your
tender cupped hands, carved
from deepest fathoms of who I am.

You the light that makes me shine,
the nightly pull of my tides,
the chalice of all my fullness.

You drink to the uttermost
of my cup, and nothing of me
is spilled.

In your satisfaction
am I consumed and thereby
we're both replenished.
