... One of those in which the first line just drops into your brain out of nowhere and the rest seems to follow... :)) K xx

EVERY TIME

Every time you open your mouth
I fall into it, losing myself
in the soft palette of your vowels
and taste of your tingling consonants.

Every time you unlock your heart
I find the key’s in my hand
dripping with an oily lubrication
that has first removed all the rust.

Every time you open wide your doors
I’m standing right there beside you,
having always been inside.

Every time, there is no
such language as foreign,
no such place as solitary,
no such existence as isolated.

This is how it is when you think of me.
All the time.

EVERY TIME:
A poem like
a cluster of diamonds
reflecting facets
of goodness, love, and beauty
embracing without fear
goodness, love, and beauty.

A very merry Christmas
and a joyful New Year
to You and Yours,

Every line tells of a heart that is so wonderfully secure in the knowledge that it is being loved and deeply cared for by its subject all the time. Beautifully expressed in this captivating piece. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones.

He swallowed the poet to catch the poem. He swallowed the poem to catch the line; he swallowed the line to catch the word; he swallowed the word to catch the vowels-- that mouthed mellow meows till they purred on his pallet. He swallowed the vowels to catch the sounds-- But I don't know how come he swallows sounds-- It must be love.

Love brings with it the right to belong to another... to be the other person's part of the whole. You have brought this phenomenon to life, and have introduced and described its comfort and reassurance in words seldom used in a poem. I commend and admire you for a talent that brings your vision to s,rry our needs. What a wonderful fulfillment of life's expectations, you bring to us with invaluable words of tenderness. I am proud to know you and call you, friend. - Bill

What a beloved and lucid expression of love here KB. Sometimes the most inspirational moments are as you have described in your prologue. We truly are treasures in cracked clay vessels - always needing to be filled, and always spilling out - to those around us - the beauty that we are given. Filling the heart with the spirit of the season you are. Thankyou!
Blessings ...

Okay, you flat out got my attention and held it with this explantion of cinsuming love and devotion . . . The words, although as vivid as a white-hot poker almost seems surreal as you read them . . . But this is where surrealism and reality marry and beget a pom of love which has no match . . . None . . . The poetical masters of the ages are smiling down as they read this special poem and they are nodding their heads at my humble comments . . . This goes into my library . . . Thank you . . .
