BETRAYAL AND BLESSING

It’s the little things
that betray you:

an uncommon choice of diction;
authoritative address.

The way that light,
striking your face,

splinters into crazed glass
of rainbow colours.

The saturnous ring singing
above your crown

when meditating
“important things”.

And how,
when in your arms,

I, too,
become immortal.

Gotta love the way your thoughts work Kate, two individual words that express so much more than an emotion...they place us where we wish to be...

nice work...

Gorgeous blend of the power of 'letter placement', Kate, within a 'faith-filled-moment's' love-alive song, winged with eye-syllables of visual pleasure. It greets, meets and soothes an errant minute of sadder love songs.

Dear Kate,

I love those little things that betray oneself, especially when one becomes a blessing to another.

whatever you intended to convey, i was convicted; i find this completely divine and spiritual--- as well as earthly. ..
an altar to the want of belonging. ..
but i relate everything it seems these days, with religiosity. .
...it felt like verging rapture.
cut glass precision; prismatic ar/ray of talent.

Like our nothern softie says, this is pure Burnside master class.
Again, like so much of your work, with its upper crust Englishness, it reminds me of John Betjeman, spec "A subaltern's love song" Miss J H D Burnside.
This is so lovely, even the betrayal is a nice betrayal, that is in fact a blessing. Many warm fireside thoughts come to mind.
Pauls gone all fluffy, and I've melted at the fire side, lol...
Down there, yeah Paul, you, prolly Feb or March, once Joan H D B's area don't need an ark to get to....

Another pure classic, timeless write by Klassic Kate.. xx
