there is great pleasure hinted at here Kate -- what with, "as silver are we soldered from waist to gleaming fin" -- NaPoWriMo has been a test of the tenacity and creativity within you Kate -- you have performed for the challenge with great aplomb my friend -- may peace and love be with you always -- Jon Michael
Now that's what I call a day on the beach! Great frolic poetry! Patrick

I love it! I want the free heart and nakedness of this writing, and the thrill and calm, too. Wow, you have such a strong sense. Your styles very well and are all intriguing. Thanks, Kate.

Oh my goodness - it appears as though I have been missing something very special here, Kate! I must go back to #1 and immerse myself in this series, which - no doubt - has been lighting up the Den for some long while now. Maybe it's the glow that's been calling me back to the Den from my current "business", which keeps me from not only my friends' poetry, but from my own! I must get my priorities in order! This is grand and I'm eager to put it in context as I love your last two lines most especially.
Fortunately I lived right at the beach so only had to walk over the boardwalk to get home...and when we went in the ocean, we'd get all wet then run up and jump into the hot sand and roll around in it till it was all over us and then we'd do it again...we certainly were weird kids, LOL, ED
Unexpected last line, Kate. I like the sense of freedom you created throughout this poem, and I admire your stamina! Keep them coming. You're almost there:)

You captured the lightheartedness that always seems to come with being close to a beach...perhaps it reverts us back to a part of our childhood...love it for sure.

How can I not adore a poem with words like "spume", "slavering" and "soldered" in it. This poem is chuck-full of glee. And though I've never been to a beach like this before, I can imagine I am in your vivid lines. --Charlie
Always wanted to do that but didn't have the nerve at Jones Beach On Long Island. But as a youngster swam in the Hudson River sans a swim suit and it was mighty refreshing. Also did it in Germany during ww2, it was one way to get the muck off ya.
KATE, YOUR IMAGERY IS ALWAYS SO FANTASTIC...I ENJOYED THIS WELL DONE, FAST PACED WORK. THANKS FOR SHARING AND BLESSINGS. LOVE,
