What a poetic gift: discovering the name of the Mesopotamian Moon god is "Sin"! :))

LOVE IN THE DARK

With the one who, between

click of bedroom door and

creak of landing floorboard,

perfects his naked midnight flit.

With the body whose perfect

roundness fills the no-man’s

land between thick curtain

and wide-open window;

whose gleaming snail trail

runs the length of your

outstretched arm before

silvering your hair with

pools of his lunatic beauty.

Oh, the sweetness of Gene's comment! And indeed, he's right. About the inspired and measured presence and gestures of this love in the dark. There is roundness, openness, there are in-between moments and curtains and an outstretched arm and, above all, all that can be imagined and felt in these graceful lines.

I just love this lunar romantic poem...The best line:
silvering your hair with pools of his lunatic beauty...stellar poetry my dear friend. Watch out for those open windows, one never knows who could be lurking about.

Much peace, love and light,
Amber

I more than agree with the accolades below. It is no
accident that "sensual" appears again and again.

There are not enough superlatives to express my
admiration.

Obviously unanimous.

Encore! ENCORE !!

ROFL. I'll e-mail.
Other than your innocence. ONCE again you prove to be a poetic master. No-wonder I loved hearing you on national radio again.

As I read this it brought back memories of a poem I wrote for my son, when new born.
My base mind apart. This paints such a stunning picture! Maybe influenced by the, so called, super moon?! xx

As far as I know, dear Kate, there's no Mesopotamian blood in me,
but if envy is a sin, then count me in, because I envy you the
muse that helped you perfect these moonlight lines. Great poetry,
from the click of your bedroom door to your lunatic beauty.
You light up my life... -gene.

Damn! Kate. I have had one horrible day and didn't even want to open this, or any poem up, but I am glad I did. I knew if Kate wrote it, especially about the Mesopotamian Moon god, Sin I couldn't refuse it.

There are so many lines that reach out and grab ya to this poetic beauty you would have to list each and everyone of them to be fair.

I see John is about to have and . . . er . . . Well, John likes the "fits." Wonderful poetry!!!!!

If you see this "Win Security 2011" anywhere on your computer run, don't walk away from it. New virus destroyed my computer today. So much so I had to purchase a new one. BAD virus. Spread the word.

"whose gleaming snail trail runs the length of your outstretched arm", what a gloriously creative impression Kate. This lunatic experience of a(the) male on a "naked midnight flit". Passionate sojourns I have not forgotten. You painted this one and made a song that hums with imagination's unique whir!. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael
