Yup, where the emotions and memories are held. Though this reads like someone caring for a loved one who has a form of dementia, becoming child and baby like in terms of their needs. The most devastating of all illness' is this!
Oh boy, you have spun a tale that is right up there with the senile (now called Alzheimer's) of the world seeing cute little sub-nosed thing smiling at them from their cereal bowl. Gotta love it.
