We are born -we live and die
Many have wondered, questioned- why?
We laugh and cry are cruel and kind
We love and hate- lose and find
We rob, cheat, kill and maim
Can be gentle, generous, tame
In youth we think we know it all
In later years- illusions fall
This lustrous youth will shrivel and shrink
Or be cut short in a single blink
Few stop and think- where will this go?
Some who ponder- yet not know
In the course of waning Life
Hope Love triumphs over strife
Whatever the reason we are here
Let's spread Love, Bonhomme and cheer
