How did it happen? when? Or why?
Did someone look up at the sky?
Saw the sun, moon, stars, returning
Lightening flash and fires burning
Thunder roar and oceans churning
O'er this he/she had no control
Why this happens? What the goal?
Must be a reason for this all
Why do seasons change at all?
There was nothing below to see
So up there, somewhere, had to be
ONE blowing thunder from His horn.
And that's I think how God was born!
Most primitive people close to the earth find their gods, not god, in everything around them that is living, growing and changing. The seasons are easily explained by the science of astronomy.
Most people just want the security of knowing that something is in control when the universe is found to be very chaotic an dangerous, but over very long periods of time. We here on the earth just happen to be in one of those quiet periods for our very brief lives of around 100 years or so and our human race only about 100,000 years old while the earth itself is around 4 billion years old and may last a long time after we are gone.
Wow! Your poem speaks so loud to me. Our Creator made us in His image. Just think about God's imagination. That blows me away! Think of the creation of the flowers, the animals we love, the air we breathe, the sun that shines. Then, think of what scientists tell us today. If the earth's orbit were off by a hair, we would all be hurled into space. If our eyes, which have millions of cells, are missing just one, we would all be blind! Watch the new movie SIGHT, and it will take you to a level of wonder of creation that few can explain or understand. But the world's most talented eye doctor speaks about a Creator and believes in Jesus Christ! If man's most intelligent people are waking up, why can't we? We are all here for a purpose. Well done!
