Bombay:
There was a man from Bombay
Worked hard night and day
And without any doubt
Soon wore himself out
Should've saved some time for play
Delhi:
There was a man from Delhi
Who had a large belly
When he walked it jiggled
Those who saw it giggled
Seemed it was filled with jelly
Chennai (Madras)
There was a man from Chennai
Wore suits without a tie
T'was too hot night and morn
For a tie to be worn
Maybe that's the reason why
Kolkata (Calcutta)
There is a woman in Calcutta
Who loves to wear taffeta
Eats only fish and rice
Other dishes may be nice
Feels nothing else is betta
I really love that very last word… betta. I always thought limericks were slightly risqué. But I guess funny will do.
