AI has so enthralled the world
As if the heavens a meteor hurled
Try to fathom reason why
This phenom is flying high
Twill do all things to be done
Do our drudgery- we'll have fun
Rid all pesky, effort, labor More leisure for us to savor

Smoothing out all human kinks
Deplete resources? Oh! So what?
A wonderful slave now we've got
To a great phenom we gave birth
Abandon gloom. Its time for mirth
Why just Earth? Moon, Mars- and more
With AI we'll conquer for sure

I sense a great deal of acid tongue satire. Sarcasm for sure.
I, too, have doubts about whether releasing this genie will benefit when young people will not be faced with the hard knocks of reality.
Two examples: from the age of 9 to 11, I picked green beans in the field for two months in the summer. It was a lesson in economics and saving at three cents per pound. Two years later when I moved to another town, been picking machines came along, and kids could no longer pick them for money. But we had more playtime for sports and other activities…I loved fishing.
While doing my doctoral studies, primarily in philosophy, from 1971-73, I would go to the library to try to find something on the topic I was working on. After four or five hours of going through the dusty shelves of 1 million or more books the university had, I found several interesting books but nothing on the topic that I was looking for.
ERIC, the Educational Research Information Center, had just been formed as a way of storing documents electronically, but I had little way of accessing it. With AI today, a researcher can instantly find almost all of the research done on a particular topic. Not only rapidly, but more thoroughly than ever before.
Contrary to worry about lazy minds and lazy bodies, AI will probably show people ways to be more creative, unfettered by monetary worries, and more physically fit and healthy than ever before.
Finally, better information hopefully, will stop exploitation of the Earth, Moon, and even Mars in the future, so that the Earth can become more natural as a breeding place for new life again and human population can be controlled/reduced.
