The Message

Words for a song or song cycle as yet unwritten.

Song:

A thin cradle moon
tucked away in
a corner of the sky,

and the roar of the falls
against the silence
of the night.

As I turn to leave,
my friend the wind
whispers sweet messages
from the stars ...

There's far too much promise in this work to langor unfinished. I especially like, "...my friend the wind whispers sweet messages from the stars..."

Write the melody, Laurie. Write the melody.
