Candles burn throughout the land
Hard for the child to understand
A symbol of the land of the free
So hard for the young child to see
What makes this candles flame stand true
A symbol of the red, white and blue
To touch the heavens with a flame
To stand beside those in such pain
This candles symbolizes love
For the people gone
For the land we love
To touch upon this century
We Americans of the land of the free
