Yes, I know...guess it is pretty sappy...
If I reach inside and touch your life with but a taste of mine, will you cherish what is offered and hold close through tests of time If I put a smile upon your lips that echoes in your heart, will you return the gift I give to bind though miles may part If I place my heart into your hands with trust in words you say, will you make me real and love me too by dark or light of day If I offer you the all of me can you offer me the same, will you believe when I cannot and also share my pain If I cast a ray of sunshine but never produce the rain, barren dust will be the result, roses bloom not in desert terrain

If you ever wrote one poem that was as beautiful as this one, this would have to be it. Sublimely and exquisitely written and ordered. "In Bloom" is the song of a women and poet who has gone beyond the perception and assonance of love. Gone beyond it and returned to give us this gift of love and words. I loved the second stanza above all. Your poem resounds and resonates in the rooms smitten by forlorned love
