Changing Times

I have been patient all of my life, simply because I had nothing to be impatient over...
Yet now I pray my patience will be as the stone of mountains, and my faith is of the power of the seas, for times are changing....soon...

Changing Times


I have been patient all of my life, simply because I had nothing to be impatient over...


Yet now I pray my patience will be as the stone of mountains, and my faith is of the power of the seas, for times are changing....soon...


 


Souls are turning to stone,


Turning from the One who died alone;


Encrusted from the hardness of a world


Ensnarled by the Deceiver’s word,


Truth is being burned in the fire of lies


And love is shadowed by storm covered skies


 


Fewer books of life are opening


More being closed by the seal of flame,


With pages filling with stains of tears


Written by lives filled with lost years


Cherishing the lies, holding the pained cries;


Enfolding and comforted by things despised.


 


Love has become a four letter word,


Seldom truly demonstrated but often heard;


His cross is sinking beneath the garbage of the deceived,


His blood and tears washed by the poisons of inequities;


His body dismembered by the serrated edge of greed,


Leaving only remnants sharing in their fulfilled need…


 


So, now, in my humbled state of heart,


I pray to my Lord and God, who was here from the start


Help me keep the peace you gave to my soul.


Strengthen my resolve to live for your set goal,


That I may survive in the faith of what I have lived;


That I may fill my book with the glory, to You, I give...


Amen

A sobering look at a world without Christ, a world that has turned its back on the One who created it, and its inhabitants in the first place.

I am in agreement with you Sir Thomas ... it seems almost as if the epilogue is being written now and we are the generation that will hear that glorious trumpet sound.

Let us pray for blind eyes to be opened, and deaf ears to be released. Let us also pray for the hardness of heart to melted and for the light of Truth to prevail.

A somber lesson for a world gone astray. Blessed are the peace makers for theirs is the kingdom of God.
