"In a shady nook, by a babbling brook, that's where I fell in love with you. " ................................................. Remember the first taste of love As the tidal wave rushed through your veins Your heart skipping like a dancing fawn And suddenly your world is turned upside down Never to be the same once more You are no longer on your own Romance is knocking on your door Each day then became a joy As thrilling emotions tumbled through your heart You gave a part of you away To your beloved sealed with a kiss Something mysterious and permanent, never to return Twas the gift of angels from above As you go through life day by day Shared and cherished memories suddenly reappear Rekindling the past in tender ways Nothing is ever lost, only time gets in the way True love ways runs its own special course Binding you and I immortally in golden grace Copyright by Peter Paton 2005

This is a gorgeous pen, Peter. There is something wonderful and forever haunting about our first love. It grabs us tight, spins us around and life will never again be the same.

This is a true Tristan and Isolde write, where the psychology of love, Tristan places a sword between himself and Isolde as a symbol of chastity at a time when they fled into the forest to be free to abandon themselves to their desires. D'amor mou castitaz (from love, chastity is born). The First Flush of Love nourishes the flame. Love is the supreme intoxication, Peter.
