If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. And if they don't, they never were.
Kahlil Gibran

 ........................................................................................................................................

" I [am] the rose of Sharon, [and] the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so [is] my love among the daughters. As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so [is] my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit [was] sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me [was] love. Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I [am] sick of love. His left hand [is] under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me. I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake [my] love, till he please. The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice. My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one

You give me that special feeling

indescribable emotions in my heart

I thought I had felt it all before

but I was wrong, as wrong can be

you supersede all that went before

by a mile and much more

the rose of sharon you are to me

with aromatic perfumes and spices so rare

that have ensnared this man completely

within the pirouettes you perform exquisitely

with delicate touches that assail my soul inside

I am lost within your veiled smiles of love

as soft and tender as your touch

your kisses thrill me from head to toe

and I confess I'm yours forevermore

so hold my hand in yours with a gentle squeeze

and we will set the whole world on fire

So gentle is love, so tender and free that turns night to light
the moment we see it's gentle hands reaching to us - to comfort and hold safely because Love gives all it has, to raise up goodness and destroy the shadows that blind the inner heart to all of the splendor that LOVE IS! And as the divine energy of ALL LIFE - no touch of loves divine purpose is ever forgotten in the souls of those who believe in its Eternal power. :) Good day dear friend.

Peter,
Has been a long time since I visited your site, and tonight I find this gem. One cannot go wrong embracing the love taught to us, communicated to us through the wisdom and splendour of Solomon's Pen, in the Song of Solomon, who wrote of a two fold love. The first being the love of God for his people, and the second, the love between man and women. My Favourite book in the bible.

You have captured your essence of sweet bloom, dew of Rose of Sharon, ( Christ) and his love en masse you and your beloved.
Again, what a gem, and a pleasure to read you.
Am back again in AD for the winter here in OZ.
Love Ch'erie

I can hardly bring myself to write, Peter as this stirs such earth-shaking emotions in me for many reasons... the scripture is some of my permanent favourite lines and the words of Kahlil Gibran move me beyond measure. Put together with your most melting and vulnerable poem, I am totally undone! You and your beloved - whether she be Rose or Sharon!! - are truly blessed. Thank you for this gift straight into my heart and soul today. You have so blessed ME. LOL Kate xx

((( Peter ))) this is a colorful masterpiece of beautiful proportions. Your ability to be bring in the light of your precious heart, of the glorious path, of your beautiful crusade, that rose of that fragrance, forever brings me in awe…Those words of the precious Rose Of Sharon is absolutely gorgeous… You have this rare gift of expressing to the reader of the universe’s forever truth of love, passion and truth….. Your spirit has the rare gift of restoring, healing, bringing light even to the most shadow hearts, bringing in light at it’s fullest. Your heart is that most precious and deeply needed healing balm of ever glory to hearts everywhere, forever more. A lovely tribute to the power of love at it’s rarest. Thank you Peter…
