"Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition."
-Alexander Smith

..................................................................................................................

Your loving mind fascinates me, like a moth to the flame

I find you absolutely charming, and you know you have this heart of mine

a soulmate divine, a trusted companion on the road of time

you have captured my soul, and made my life complete

we'll watch the raindrops glisten, on the golden privet hedge

and savor the sun kissed petals of an opening rhododendron

as I take your hand in mine, we'll link fingers so sublime

travelling joyously through the supreme garden of zen

exchanging the smiles of love, that are timeless as the stars

we'll take the enchanting path that leads, to the painted bridge of romance

on there we'll pause, as I take you close to me

inhaling your sweet breath, as our lips brush together in bliss

beneath the koi fish, are witnesses to our tender embrace

as we share the magical passion of our first glorious kiss

and I know I have fallen, for my heart is pounding hard

whilst your fingers trace my chin, I gently brush your lovely tresses

wishing these breathtaking moments will never ever end

our eyes locked together in the mesmerising trance of new love

a heady mix of passion, so deep and intense

as I whisper softly in your ear

darling I'm crazy for you

Would all find this lovely place you have found with whomever this poem is for.

Peter - as exquisite and unique a creation as the image of that bridge is, so is your ability to reach deep inside one with your splendiferous constructs.

I raise my glass to you poet in respect and admiration!

Whomever has inspired this exquisite and enchanting verse must surely be allowed to read and learn full well of the heart she must possess and how carefully and delicately it is handled in word. Is it that you have known her through out time, or is it her smile and flirting eye, rhododendron's dew, or the promise of Zen's garden that leads you to that "first glorious kiss', that each one following will be the first again and taste as sweet? Me thinks they are well worth the "discovery" and a walk, fingers entwined over the bridge that links the two of them.
I add my own sigh and a swoon to all those on the list before mine.

xo Taylor ~

Absolutely beautiful poem and dedication to your beloved!
Your union is a blessing!
Fantastic bridge complementing your poem's beauty!
Rumi said: "Judge a flame by the beauty of its moth" and oh your flame must be incredibly beautiful!
May your kisses be endless....

If ever there was hope in love, this is the very description of it. The tender embrace of united lovers is a dream the whole world shares in their secret sighs of the night. Fortunately for those of us who have found and know this divine attribute is true, your words appear as a testament of things to come. A planning if you will of the desires both the he and the she share. To stand on the sands of eternity and to look uncorrupted Love square in the eye is the pulse of Life itself. Amazing beauty captured in this glimpse of your soul. Who could possibly ask for more than this splendid day to arrive? "Not I" said the sky... :)

(((( Peter )))))

precious, precious man, this is no doubt the very best poem I have ever read of yours.. It goes through beautiful pieces of emotions the soul desires on earth, which is to be known, felt, adored, loved passionately and loved agape truest…Your strong ability to capture love at it’s strongest amazes me and you have the ability to go into powerful rays of love that we all dream of will happen for us in our life time.. When the soul finds love that rare, it has accomplished so much, Peter…Your powerful beautiful thoughts came rushing in and one that stood out the most was I got the name of Lion Heart in my mind…That is what I heard.. I remember your heart that stay close to purity, for they are the beauty, the essences of mercy, healing, wonders and grace from above. Hearts that are their purest have such depths of passion, for they know real love from imaginings…When I read the poem, I pictured the tin man receiving the heart, but the thing was Oz didn’t give anything to the tin man, that he didn’t already have. Remember that song?? Seals and Croffs… The tin man in The Wizard Of Oz. He thought he needed a heart and his heart was already profoundly open, towards the depths of love in it’s truest form, agape, love without any conditions, like Emmanuel, the Christ Lord Jesus, Messiah…..I see you as that man who has no idea just how powerful your love, your heart truly is.. I thought of you as that precious tin man, that already has a pure heart, that already has pure agape, pure spiritual love in it’s highest form.. You are that tin man that heart is purest than most hearts on earth. Oz knew you needed no heart , for yours was already a million times bigger than any one else’s heart…You, Peter have that rare soul of incredible gold. It is a heart that adores life, adores innocents, adores good will, adores love in it’s rarest form. God, this was a masterpiece just in emotions. A heart of yours that beats so powerful, so divine, that makes angels of glorious beauty blush. I am so overwhelmed by this stunning piece.. I am speechless. .Stay ever close to the light within, Peter.. Your a beautiful soul rare, rare, rare…
Love,
Dove
