Zen: A Japanese sect of Mahayana Buddhism that aims at enlightenment by direct intuition through meditation.

Zen: A state of calm attentiveness in which one's actions are guided by intuition rather than by conscious effort.
Perhaps that is the zen of gardening — you become one with the plants, lost in the rhythm of the tasks at hand.

The we of ourselves seems to be the outward reflection of who we perceive ourselves to be in the mind. We live more in the mind than we do in the world, thus the need for the Zen of now. Your post got me thinking, Diana. That's what a poem should do, inspire the reader in unexpected ways.
