The Balancer
Weight so great
heavy beyond measure
all the shifting winds of fate --
bend or break -- him -- break her.
We like trees in fracturing gusts
try to remain standing.

Amen. Wow and for some reason I believe roots are going to upend on earth cleansing it self of what is not in harmony. Fantastic prolific muse with beauty
So much to glean from these well-chosen words. Even the purposeful separation of him and her bring credence to the neutrality, yet the universal identity of humankind's desperate effort to stay existing, short of being taken to our knees every day by the forces that desire to create a modern-day serfdom of obedience to autocratic rule. Brevity at its best.
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
