Short, but lifelong. Beautifully worded. You had me thinking of those beautiful moments in life, usually when we are young and carefree. And then the toll that life takes like your metaphor, the roiling churn, hoping for a lifeboat or island to land on. Not the usual, heaven or hell. But perhaps, an alternative?
I'm reminded by this eloquent poem that we often can only see the calm while immersed in the chaos. Perhaps it's another measure of the paradox of life that is prevalent continually. Turning toward the right for that one moment to flee is perhaps no match for the silent beauty. Loved this.
