Sometimes we fly under the radar, go AWOL, fall silent, disappear. Then we return, having missed all the things we didn't hear, all the happenings we didn't see....with only the now right here in our wings. ~~ djl
Very interesting. When I saw your artwork all I could think about was the story I saw on CBS Sunday Morning this morning about all of the birds that are losing their lives hitting windows. Including the large ones I have on the backside of my house. Sometimes hit multiple times in a day. Cats are waiting below.
All this death of birds can be eliminated by simply putting a dot pattern like you have illustrated above on the window so that the bird will not think its reflection is another bird. From the inside, the human eye soon adjusts to the situation and sees outside normally. Or, windows can be made to look completely opaque on the outside while clearly visible as clear windows from the inside.
"Dot to dot without numbers." What a simple phrase that begs we read between the dots, find the subtext, accept how uncomplicated some of our complex decisions are.
I periodically find myself in much the same way--AWOL and allowing time to help me decide why such a choice.
I've come to believe the mind and heart are incredible parameters for measuring the emotional and intellectual weather we're confronting and whether it is time to "fall silent, disappear."
