Presence is there
bottoms in chairs --
ping pong paddle signs
words of defiance
to ugly falsities --
The King's Speech.
Raised up in protest
little signs, so quiet
so polite.
One man stands.
He IS his sign -- and
with countenance,
his voice makes
Chamber guards
take him away,
his peers watching,
missing their mark
to STAND in solidarity
and walk the talk
with him, the man
who dares rebel.
Big mistake those
bottoms in chairs.
A glaring AWOL
Perhaps hoping to work something out? Probably not. I certainly hope they have the courage to go ahead with impeachment proceedings again after what happened last time.
While the speech sounded nice to the uneducated, so far the action taken has upset almost every aspect of the government and we are in for a very rough ride until Congress comes to its senses and realizes it has lost it's power to make laws that stick. Nox so easily overthrown by a tyrant in sheep's clothing of golden hair over turning gray.

I learned through a Vanity Fair article yesterday that they've been receiving multiple death threats. Which is why so many bottoms were seated, paddles were raised, and polite protest was made. The GOP reps have been getting similar threats, which is why they won't bend and do the right thing. We're being run into the ground by international thugs.
