Strike my hurt benumbed soul with their ripping talons.
Treasured love secrets dismissed
With callous indifference,
The secret code of two hearts used
Trampled by the crass
Sweet precious moments, denied by a swift backhand across my heart
How could you?
Where did you go, to change so utterly?
Once a warm and loving man.
You are now a stranger robed in icy armour,
Lies spilling easily, scarlet with my blood
We sit silently...
Two civil strangers
In a cold empty room
Once graced with love
Two small tears
escape my aching heart
As I gaze with love and loss
At once was……
My body empty of your presence..
forever
