Though I often stop by to read other's great works, time is a enemy whose not on my side. My best wishes to all.

My love may these lines afford my whispers

that fall short to grace your ears

a chance for mind’s consumption

a meager meal of  one’s deepest thoughts

so you no longer fast for words unheard

Shy is this common man’s forte

when confronted by your grace and charm

I’m neither prince nor lowly pauper

but a man placed in the vastness somewhere between

whose words fall short at opportune moments

Think not that my love is void of explanation

only that deliverance is a failure my own

for what does one say to perfection

as viewed from behind these wanting eye’s

and held close within a humbled heart

Need a man rip open his chest of gratefulness

and display the desires contained in inside

or lay bare his mind at deserving feet

so one might read his dreams from soul

and discover an endless book of hopes and dreams

How can mere words or thoughts so plenty

be put to characters on any lines

reveal the heartfelt mixed emotions

exhibit the wishes unwanted for one’s self

yet prayed for the woman in whom he believes

No not often do you hear me

when I whisper your name and thoughts

or feel the excitement when I’m near you

the warmth to heart when eye’s do meet

Please Understand

this fault is no one’s but my own

Your words are like music...I was going to say they were like poetry of love...but then I realized that was kind of silly...hee, hee... So, instead I will say that this poem has great meaning to me because it so perfectly mirrors what I would say to the love of my life. That is what I love about poetry...it allows us to "say" what is so difficult to really say out loud...

Time is then the most despicable of robbers! :(( For what heart would not faint at such a humble and sincerely reverent unveiling? I have yet to meet a woman who would not be undone by even one line of this beneficent outpouring of heart and soul. You grace us well and we feed on the feast that even only the crumbs of time will allow. Thanks for stopping by, Ducky. Be well always. K xx

You embrace with your words, TD, which is a feat most only aspire to. Yes, it is impossible to find words that adequately express that which is more than life itself, to us, but what you do say, certainly makes your point. Beautiful, beautiful!! Life gets in the way of my writing and my ability to even write reviews most of the time, but I do come here and read whenever quiet moments come my way.
Take care,
Sherry
