Poem Artwork

What would the roses share if they could speak
Would they tell us what they really think
Are their thoughts secreted in the perfume of their beauty
Or could they whisper a teaching to humanity

Telling us of the beauty of simplicity
Wholesome and pure, complete in its transparency
Like a rose, each person is a flower
Without anything added, humans are perfect every hour

‘Slow down’ they say from their rose bed
‘Pause to feel your heart and forget about your head
living from the heart is the only way to go
fertilise your feelings to let your love grow’

Roses certainly are an inspiration and have doubled down on fuel for this beautiful poem. It got me thinking about those wild roses that grew along the fence rows on my drive to and from work in West Virginia. My partner has planted two different red roses out front and they are blooming like crazy right now. Also a yellow rose because we are in the state of Texas and must have one.
