The Message

yellow postie note would do fine

a note under a fridge magnet

you can leave it there anytime

hallmark cards can be dandy

or a rose on my pillow sweet

record a message on my phone

you know that too would be neat

those little love tart candies

could spell it out for me

or go big and do skywriting

for all the world to see

an email left in my mailbox

facebook greeting done in rhyme

a singing telegram though silly

that clown gets me every time

and you ask what is so important

that could be sent to me from you

three little words I long to hear

just need to hear…“I love you”
