Rebecca asked a valid question in regards to this poem so I will answer it here to the best of my abitlity. She asked bascially why virgins are so often linked to sacrifices.
Well Rebecca, (sounds like I shoule say "there is a Santa Claus" lol
anyway the very meaning of sacrifice is to give up or have something taken without permission. As in lambs being sacrificed for better crops, Christians being sacrificed to the lions and yes virgins being thrown into volcano's to appease the volcano Gods.
In the context of the poem I tend to use it more to reflect that though the subject was not quite a true virgin she was helpless caught up in the passion of the moment to do anything but "give it up"

Yes, it's a hotty I have to agree... but one questions comes to mind: how come the word 'virgin' in any case or form, is mostly accompanied by 'sacrifies'?

Mmmmmm ... tasted days and tasted nights! I do remember my first time. Ship-board buddies got tired of me being a "virgin," so, on my birthday, they took me down to Tijuana and gifted me with what was available down there. Scared me half to death! I did manage to get over it though. LOL
