North Wind Plea
By: Fee
I closed all the windows, I turned up the heat
Falls heading in as I see the summer retreat
There’s a cold chill in the air, it seems so unfair
A frost warning tonight, oh baby I need you here
A stubborn old fool who let the spark of love burn out
Should have done something to turn things about
I had to act the big man, who could stand on his own
Now I’m cold as November and I wish you’d come home
Your laughter still echoes within these four walls
Made this house toasty just walking the halls
I sleep on the couch instead of our king sized bed
Can’t stand to stare where you once laid your head
As the maple leafs are all falling, my teardrops fall too
With the bright colours of autumn all I see is blue
So I sing to the North Wind to carry you my plea
Baby I’m so sorry, I was wrong, please come home to me…
